WOW! What a year!
Double WOW! What beautiful weather we had. I don’t know how it could have been any better.
All the Arts and Crafts vendors have packed up and are preparing for the Thanksgiving / Christmas shows. We wish them much success.
The professional food vendors have also gone on to other events. We really hope the Charitable/Non-Profit groups were able to raise enough funds to support their various programs.
Thanks to all of them.
A SPECIAL thanks to YOU – the adults, children, and the occasional dog who visited us. The Children’s Zone looked busy the entire weekend. The VW Auto Show on Sunday brought back some old memories. And the Sunday show was, once again, a fantastic collection of beautifully restored or preserved automobiles. The entertainment was a wonderful cross-section of genres.
And the parade, well it was one of best. It was enjoyed by many along Far Hills Avenue. The Color-Guards, the bands, the high-school cheerleaders. The Umbrella Group from Dorothy Lane Market was at its peak performance. The Shriners added a lot of color and fun to the parade also. And to TOP-IT-ALL-OFF (pun intended) we had the flyovers.
We must thank our many sponsors for their contributions, especially the Major sponsors: The Ermal C. Fraze Fund; the Dayton Power & Light Company; Kettering Health Network; and the group of Clear Channel stations. And we MUST thank the City of Kettering and its many employees for their support this weekend.
Thank you one and all.
Please join me in wishing the 2017 President, Missy Mae Walters, the same great success we had.Don Parker
