Announcing our 2026 Scholarship Winners:

Kate Mitter

Kate Mitter is the 2026 Valedictorian of Kettering Fairmont High School.  She will attend Colgate University in the fall majoring in Political Science.  Her community service varied with teen programs, mentoring programs, chaperoning elementary school programs.  Her interests include orchestra, track and field, swimming and student government. Baking her newest culinary treats for family and friends is fun.  Her seasonal job a Big Sky gets credit for inspiring her love!  My greatest achievement is being named valedictorian of my graduation class. It is truly an honor being able to represent my fellow students at graduation. I am honored to call my self an alum of Kettering City Schools for all 13 years of my education. The teachers I had were some of the most influential people in my life.

Nolan Stringer

Nolan Stringer is a 2026 graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School. He will attend Ohio University in the fall majoring in Marketing.  Nolan played high school football and was voted MVP at graduation. My senior season taught me that true success is built on discipline, sacrifice, and putting the team before self. That experience shaped me not only as an athlete, but as a leader prepared to contribute wherever I go next.  He was involved with Ronald McDonald House, Shoes 4 the Shoeless and St. Francis Food Preparation.  In addition to sports, Nolan loves Pop Culture, Nutrition and Movies. He worked at Barry’s Bagels and as a lifeguard.

Tia Weiss

Tia Weiss is a 2026 graduate of Kettering Fairmont High School. She will attend Northern Kentucky University in the fall majoring in Engineering.  Community service has been a central part of my life, shaping both who I am and how I interact with the world. My most significant involvement has been through mentoring at Firebird Camp, where I helped incoming students transition to high school with confidence. Looking ahead, I am excited to continue pursuing athletics at the collegiate level as a Division I triathlete.  I’m fascinated by robotics and electronics.  I’m always up for trying new foods. I love to fish and boating. In 2021/22, my poetry was published through a poetry contest.
